THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION IS ONE OF THE MOST EFFICIENT ORGANIZATIONS OF ITS KIND, SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW DRUGS TO FIGHT THE DISEASE, IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THOSE WITH CF AND ULTIMATELY HOPING TO FIND A CURE.

THE DWC IS NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED AS A PROTOTYPE FOR UNIQUE AND EFFECTIVE PROGRAMS SERVING HOMELESS WOMEN AND ENDING HOMELESSNESS. THEY PROVIDE SERVICES TO WOMEN FROM A WIDE RANGE OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC BACKGROUNDS, EDUCATIONAL LEVELS AND LIFE EXPERIENCE WHO SUFFER FROM MENTAL AND/OR PHYSICAL ILLNESS, AS WELL AS WOMEN WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WHICH LED TO HOMELESSNESS. SERVING AROUND 200 WOMEN EACH DAY IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES WHO CURRENTLY LIVE ON THE STREETS, IN ENCAMPMENTS, OR IN NIGHT-TO-NIGHT SHELTERS, THE DWC PROVIDES MEALS, AN ON-SITE MEDICAL CLINIC, HEALTH WORKSHOPS, SUPPORT GROUPS AND JOB COUNSELING.
COHI is an amazing nonprofit dedicated to helping mamas and babies in crisis zones. Since 2004 they have been working all over the world providing disaster relief, professional midwifery training, distribution of medical supplies and have built birthing centers. As a mama myself, this wonderful organization is near and dear to my heart and I’m proud to support their work.
Oxfam America is a global organization working to eradicate hunger, poverty and injustice. They do everything from disaster relief to public education and campaigning for social justice. They have a huge reach, working in over 90 countries.
